This term we will be looking at the following value:

LOVE

Dear Parents,

We have had a fantastic final day of the half term with children dressed in all sorts of scary outfits. Many rules have been broken and we have raised lots of money which will go towards exciting new initiatives for the school and PTA. Thank you for all of your contributions. Just a quick reminder that at 3.15 today, we will be having a cake sale in the Percy Collett room, it will be great to see you all there.

It has been a really successful start to the school year. I have been impressed with the way children have settled into new routines and adapted to the changes we have introduced. The new Dimensions curriculum has been at the forefront of improving our teaching of the foundation subjects with a particular focus on children's writing. The changes to the behaviour policy have resulted in a more restorative approach with children taking more time to reflect on their actions.

At the heart of our school are our six core values. Every Friday, the children share examples of how their friends have demonstrated the values through their actions with the principles of love, kindness, respect, resilience, forgiveness and honesty at the core of our vision. After half term, our main value will be respect and we will be teaching the children the importance of respecting others as well as themselves.

Finally, I would like to thank all of you for your support. It has been so lovely to hear the positive comments following parents' evening last week and knowing that you are working with the staffing team to help the children flourish in their education.

Have a relaxing and enjoyable half term.

Mr Griffin
