- Letter from Mr Griffin
Dear Parents,
I hope you have all been able to book an appointment with your child’s class teacher in preparation for the phone call consultations starting on Monday. This will provide all families with an opportunity to find out how your child has settled back into the school routine and for you to share with the teacher how you feel your child progressed during the national lockdown.
Yesterday, we welcomed our new SENCo, Mrs Rawson to Charlton. Mrs Rawson spent the day getting to know the children and the staff. Mrs Rawson will be with us every Thursday until the end of the academic year.
On Monday next week, we will be having a transition afternoon in Year 1/2 and 5/6. This will be a great opportunity for the children to spend some time with their new teachers, Mrs Plumbe and Miss Phillips.
We are delighted to announce that the school will be introducing a new payment and communication system. We hope to have this implemented in the next few weeks and we will be sending information as soon as possible. The new system will replace ParentPay and the School Life app.
Finally, I am sure you will have seen that we are looking for a teaching assistant to join our team for the summer term. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference; we welcome applications from candidates with lots of experience in education as well as from applicants who are interested in moving into education for the first time. For more information please visit the OCC website or contact the school office.
Have a great weekend
Mr Griffin

- Wellbeing Activities by Ms Sandford - WEEK 5
Due to the Covid situation, the children's wellbeing has become even more important which is why the school has decided to provide some Wellbeing activities. These are to replace the Homework grids that teachers might have sent out. Here is week 5.
