This term we will be looking at the following value:

Kindness

Dear Parents,

I would like to start this week’s newsletter by sharing my appreciation for the amazing team that we have at Charlton-on-Otmoor Primary School. During the past week, the staff in school have gone over and beyond to support the children. Their commitment and dedication to the school is outstanding and we are very lucky to have them.

For many families, the past few weeks have been extremely challenging. Fortunately, in most cases, the effects of testing positive from COVID have lasted no more than a few days and it has been lovely to see children returning to school feeling so much better. As a school, we will be in regular contact with all families who are self-isolating and continue to send you work for your children to do. However, we completely understand that trying to support your children whilst working is an incredibly difficult task and will offer all we can to support you.

It has been brought to my attention that several families have raised questions on the playground regarding the events from the past week. Communication, is a vital ingredient in the success of any school, and it is really important that you feel empowered and confident to speak to either myself or the school office should you have any questions.

Over the next few weeks, we will be reviewing our school newsletter and looking at how we can enhance communication with our families. Mrs Brandon will be sending out a survey for you to complete about our weekly newsletter, I would appreciate it if you can spend five minutes to complete this and respond by next Friday so we can start to make positive changes.

Have a great weekend

Mr Griffin
