Headteacher Welcome

Welcome to Charlton-on-Otmoor Church of England Primary School. Charlton is a caring and nurturing primary school nestled in history amongst the rural Oxfordshire countryside.

Our aim to Aspire and Grow Together captures the three ideas that every child is inspired to challenge themselves, that we don't only focus on academic progress and we leverage our strong community to achieve this together.

We have wonderful grounds, enabling us to provide rich indoor and outdoor learning environments, where we can foster confident, independent learners. The well-being of children is at the core of all school decisions, nurturing pupils as they develop and model the school values, and a sense of responsibility for themselves and others.

Our school sits at the heart of the local community. It works in positive partnership with families and community members, collaboratively creating the best possible climate for learning. Our curriculum is innovative, forward-thinking and highly relevant - dealing with tomorrow's issues today.  It is devoted to providing pupils with a broad and deep level of learning, developing fully rounded individuals, fuelling creativity and resulting in positive change.

Choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions parents make. We hope that our website will help you make that choice. To support working families we have a Before and After School Care Club, which extends provision from 7.45am to 5.30pm.

I hope you enjoy your visit to our website and that you will re-visit it regularly to keep up to date with our latest news.

Please contact us to arrange an individual visit.  I look forward to meeting you.
