School Vision
‘Aspire and Grow Together’
Our Christian vision, ‘Aspire and Grow Together’, is rooted in The Parable of The Mustard Seed:
God’s Kingdom is like a seed, which a farmer took and planted. Though it is a tiny seed, when it grows, it is the largest of trees and becomes so big that birds rest and shelter in its branches.
Matthew 13:31-32
At Charlton-on- Otmoor we value every member of our community whether child or adult. We foster not only academic success, but social, emotional, moral and spiritual growth. We nurture one another embodying our school values so that we can all blossom and grow, like the small mustard seed, preparing us for the next stage of our unique journeys.
The parable teaches us that we all have the potential to grow and flourish. At Charlton-on-Otmoor, we are all like the mustard seeds that through our influence all have the potential to grow from a tiny seed to a big tree with a lot to offer to the community and wider society.
As the mustard tree offers shelter for birds, so our aspirations lead us to become the best we can be; as resilient, respectful, compassionate, and responsible citizens of our wider world.
The School Values are integral in achieving our vision.
The six school values are:
Love – Autumn One Respect – Autumn Two
Kindness – Spring One Forgiveness – Spring Two
Resilience - Summer One Honesty – Summer Two
